Meeting Report
The 38th International Meeting of Physical Therapy Science in Korea
The 38th International Meeting of Physical Therapy Science was hosted at Silla University in South Korea. This conference featured intensive discussions involving experts from Japan, South Korea, and China on the theme of “Global Exchange for Physical Therapy Science”.
Professor HaeJung LEE of Silla University was the chairperson of the academic conference.
Participants included faculty from physical therapy training universities, hospital clinicians, and judo therapists. This time, faculty from engineering universities also gave presentations. The presentations, which included demonstrations, were particularly diverse in their methods and included engineering aspects, enabling wide-ranging discussion.
There was a special lecture by an expert who teaches horse therapy in South Korea, where horse therapy is nationally certified, and also a mini-lecture on horse therapy in Japan. We were given a presentation on a new rehabilitation university in China, which provided us a glimpse of a future in which physical therapists can contribute to the treatment of even more people.
Next year’s International Meeting of Physical Therapy Science in Korea is scheduled to be held at Eulji University from September 4th to September 6th, 2025, and preparations are continuing for this event. We look forward to your participation, furthering our contribution to the development of physical therapy through international academic exchange.
