The 27th International Meeting of Physical Therapy Science in Russia


The 27th International Meeting of Physical Therapy Science was held on September 1st, 2018 at the Hokuto Rehabilitation Center in Vladivostok, Russia. About 20 healthcare professionals from Vladivostok and other areas of Russia attended this meeting. The opening remarks were presented by the Chairman of the Meeting, Dr. Sergey Kolchanov.

Three special lectures were respectively presented by Mr. Motoki Koiwa from Japan, and Dr. Anatoliy Beryaev from Russia, and Dr. Hiroshi Nobori from Japan. Their titles were “Introduction to the Hokuto Rehabilitation Center,” “Current status of rehabilitation medicine in Russia,” and “Introduction to the qualifications and activities of judo therapists in Japan.”
In this lecture, Dr. Hiroshi Nobori explained the history and curriculum of judo therapists in Japan. The Russian participants were very interested in this lecture.

Several very interesting oral presentations were made by Japanese faculty members and graduate students of Teikyo University of Science, Teikyo Heisei University, and the International University of Health and Welfare.

The closing remarks were given by Dr. Hitoshi Maruyama, the President of the Society of Physical Therapy Science. In this meeting, a friendly relationship between Japan and Russia was established.
